Official Rules

Welcome to the official giveaway rules page for The Saga Vault! Below you will find everything you need to know about how to vote, how entries are drawn, and how to claim your prize if you win.

1. Eligibility

No Purchase Necessary: No purchase, payment, donation, or pre-order is required to enter or win this giveaway. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.
Age & Residency: To vote you must be thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of voting. The t-shirt giveaway is open only to legal residents of the United States who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry.
Exclusions: Employees, officers, board members, contractors, and immediate family members of Cinema Relics, The Saga Vault, and Rancho Obi-Wan are not eligible to win.
Void Where Prohibited: This giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and is void where prohibited by law.

2. How to Enter and Vote

Step 1: Watch an episode of The Saga Vault on the official Cinema Relics YouTube channel.
Step 2: Cast your official vote by leaving a public comment directly on that episode’s YouTube page.
Comment Content: Your comment must clearly include either the name of the featured artifact or the name of the presenter you are voting for.
Entry Status: Your single eligible comment serves as both your official vote for that episode’s artifact competition and as one (1) valid entry into the t-shirt giveaway for that specific episode.
Entry Limits: Limit one (1) entry per person, per individual episode. If an individual posts multiple comments on a single video, only their first eligible comment containing a clear vote will count as an entry. Automated entries, bot scripts, spam, or entries made via multiple secondary accounts will result in immediate disqualification.

3. Giveaway Entry Periods and Deadlines

Start Time: The giveaway entry period for each individual episode begins the moment that specific episode is publicly published on the Cinema Relics YouTube channel.
Deadlines: Unless otherwise explicitly specified in the video description or pinned comment, voting and giveaway entries for each episode close at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (PT) on the Tuesday immediately following the episode’s release. Comments timestamped after this deadline will not count toward the vote tally or the prize drawing for that episode.

4. Prize Information

The Prize: One (1) prize will be awarded per episode. The prize consists of one (1) exclusive Cinema Relics x The Saga Vault “Salt the Guava” t-shirt.
No Substitution: The prize has no cash value, is non-transferable, and may not be exchanged, substituted, or redeemed for cash or alternative items.
The Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of each 'Salt the Guava' t-shirt is $25.00 USD. Any difference between the stated ARV and the actual value of the prize will not be awarded.

5. Winner Selection and Announcement

Random Drawing: For each episode, one (1) potential winner will be selected at random from the pool of all eligible comments captured prior to the stated deadline.
The Announcement: The potential winner will be announced by their public YouTube username on or around the Wednesday following the episode's release.
Notification: In addition to the public video announcement, a representative from Cinema Relics will reply directly to the winning comment on YouTube with official instructions on how to claim the prize. (Please note that we do not utilize YouTube direct messaging for official winner notifications).

6. How to Claim Your Prize

Verification Required: Selected participants are considered "potential winners" until their eligibility, age, and residency are verified.
Claim Deadline: To claim the prize, the potential winner must send an email to hello@thesagamuseum.org within ten (10) calendar days of the winner announcement date.
Required Information: Your claim email must include the following details:
1. Your public YouTube username.
2. Your full legal name.
3. A valid U.S. mailing address for shipping.
4. Your preferred t-shirt size (subject to availability).
5. A clear statement confirming that you are 18 years of age or older and a legal U.S. resident.
Security Notice: For your own privacy and security, do not post your mailing address, email address, or phone number publicly in the YouTube comments section.

7. Forfeiture and Alternate Winners

Reasons for Forfeiture: A potential winner will forfeit the prize, and an alternate winner may be selected, if the original potential winner:
- Fails to email the claim address within ten (10) calendar days of the announcement.
- Is found to be under 18 years of age or not a legal U.S. resident.
- Cannot provide a valid, deliverable U.S. shipping address.
- Deletes or removes the winning comment before verification is complete.
- Violates YouTube's Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.
- Submits fraudulent entries, duplicate identities, or multiple accounts.
Alternate Drawing: If a prize is forfeited, an alternate winner will be drawn at random from the remaining pool of eligible entries for that specific episode. Alternate winners will be given a compressed window of five (5) calendar days from their notification date to claim the prize.

8. Privacy and Data Handling

Data Use: Any personal data collected during the claim process (including your name, email, and shipping address) will be securely processed and used strictly for the purposes of verifying eligibility, administering the giveaway, and shipping your prize.
Data Sharing: Winner details are shared securely between the administering team at Cinema Relics and the physical fulfillment facility at Rancho Obi-Wan solely to ship the physical t-shirt.
No Spam: Entrants will not be added to any marketing, newsletter, or promotional email lists unless they separately, explicitly, and clearly opt in to receive further communications.

9. Complete Release of YouTube Liability

Non-Association: This giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or officially associated with YouTube or Google LLC.
Release of Liability: By entering this giveaway, all participants agree to completely release YouTube from any and all liability, claims, demands, or damages arising out of or in connection with the administration of this promotion.
Platform Terms: All participant comments and actions must fully comply with YouTube’s Terms of Service and official Community Guidelines. Non-compliant comments will be disqualified and hidden from the platform.

10. Sponsor Identity

The Sponsor: This giveaway is sponsored and administered jointly by Cinema Relics LLC and Rancho Obi-Wan, Inc. (collectively, the "Sponsor").

11. Odds of Winning

Odds of Winning: The odds of winning a prize depend entirely on the total number of eligible, unique comments received during the specified entry period for each individual episode.

12. Limitation of Liability & Release

Limitation of Liability: By participating in this giveaway, entrants agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all injuries, liability, losses, or damages of any kind resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, misuse, or use of the prize, or from participation in this giveaway. The Sponsor is not responsible for:

Lost, late, misdirected, damaged, or undeliverable mail or email.
Technical, hardware, software, or internet malfunctions, dropped connections, or failed digital transmissions.
Any printing, typographical, or administrative errors in any materials associated with the giveaway.

13. Right to Cancel, Modify, or Terminate

Right to Cancel or Modify: The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the giveaway (or any portion thereof) should a virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, bot attack, fraud, or other cause beyond the Sponsor’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the giveaway. In such an event, the Sponsor reserves the right to select a winner from all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to the termination or modification.

14. Disputes and Choice of Law

Disputes and Governing Law: Except where prohibited, entrants agree that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this giveaway, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Sonoma County, California. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules.

15. Taxes

Tax Liability: Any and all federal, state, and local taxes associated with the receipt or use of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

16. Winner List

Requests must be received no later than 60 days after the final episode of the season airs.
